Artist's Comments

Didn't know what to categorize this as. Do you?

This is my first try taking pictures of water droplets with my new Rebel xti, something that would have been impossible with my old point and shoot.

What do you think?
Though I like it as an image (a lot actually) , I am a little iffy about uploading it.
Seems like anybody with a half way decent slr could take a picture like this. And it bugs me that you can see the flash reflected on the faucet. Its also a very very dark picture

Still I am proud that I actually managed to capture a water droplet.

I'd love to hear some opinions, even negative ones.

You are right, almost everyone can shoot such a pic, but some digital enchancement could get much more of it [link]

I will face it calmly, not with anger or fright :meditate:

The only thing that im not a fan of is how the rim of the faucet is out of focus. Maybe crop it down just a bit.
But still... an awesome picture =D

I like this photo a lot... but I think you can get out of this photo much more by really focussing on the drop. Crop the photo till you only see the crane and the drop and show, I think, your kitchen via the drop.

I like the water droplet, but I rather find the background distracting. So i agree with the previous ones.. maybe croping would the trick :)

Personally, I find it hard to capture waterdrops (then again, I have point and shoot), so I find it pretty damn amazing. I'd love it even more if the lighter parts were cropped out, they are too distracting. I like the background colors though, brown and green on the left work really well, it's the lighter parts on the right that throw the image off-balance.
